The problem

Tired of scattered school communication?

The average parent checks their phone every few minutes — yet school news still lives in unopened emails, public Facebook pages, and a different app for every team and classroom.

Public social media isn’t built for schools

Comment-section pile-ons, algorithms that bury your posts, ads competing for attention — and your community’s photos exposed to the open internet.

Mass email goes unread

Newsletters land in crowded inboxes and rarely get opened on a phone. Important updates deserve better than a 12% open rate and a spam folder.

A different app for everything

One tool for alerts, another for the team, a group text for the class trip. Families can’t keep up — and the school can’t see any of it.

A better way

The best of a feed — none of the harm

Families are used to quick, visual, bite-sized updates. School Courier brings that experience to school communication — and leaves the rest of social media behind.

What families get

  • Fast, bite-sized updates from the classrooms, teams & clubs they choose
  • Photos, reminders, celebrations & news families actually want to see
  • A personalized feed — each user controls exactly what they follow
  • One private, purpose-built hub for the whole school community

What we leave behind

  • No public drama & no comment-section pile-ons
  • No algorithm pushing negativity or endless scrolling
  • No influencer culture, and no ads competing for attention
  • No mixing school news with the wider noise of the internet

How it works

Live in weeks, not semesters

We handle the heavy lifting — you get the credit. Most schools are up and running within 8 weeks, with staff training included.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about your school

A short conversation about your schools, teams, and how you communicate today. We map your groups and roles with you.

  2. Step 2

    We build and brand it

Your logo, colors, and splash screen on iOS and Android. We publish to the App Store and Google Play and train your staff.

  3. Step 3

    Families join in seconds

Passwordless sign-in takes about 20 seconds. Families follow the classrooms, teams & clubs they care about — and your feed comes alive.

What administrators tell us

“School Courier has truly streamlined how we communicate with our families. Our admins can send ‘Mass Alerts’ instantly in whatever format they need, and our teachers use ‘My Feed’ to share daily updates, photos, announcements, and reminders. We’ve never felt more connected as a school — parents appreciate having everything in one place, and we love having our own app!”

Christie Strong

Principal | Asst. Superintendent, Texas

“Our families finally have one place they trust for school news — and our staff spend a fraction of the time getting the word out. Parents tell us it’s the first thing they check each morning, and our teachers love how quickly they can share what’s happening in their classrooms.”

Eric Hamilton

Superintendent, Boyd Christian Schools

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is School Courier a social media platform?
No — and that’s the point. School Courier gives families the familiar, easy experience of a feed, but it is controlled by your staff and free of ads, algorithms, and public comment sections. Nothing your teachers or families post ever appears on the public web — and your school chooses how open the app itself is, from community-visible public groups to a fully code-gated experience.
Who can join our school’s app?
Your school controls membership. Public groups like “School News” are open to your community with one tap; private groups require an 8-digit passcode or a join request that a group leader approves. Students and parents can never message one another — only staff, coaches, and administrators.
Do parents need to create yet another password?
No. Sign-in is passwordless — families enter an email address or phone number, tap the code they receive, and they’re in within about 20 seconds. The app remembers them. An optional password is available for those who prefer it.
How long does it take to launch?
Most schools are up and running within 8 weeks, and training for your staff is included. We handle the heavy lifting — branding, setup, and app-store publication — and you get the credit.
What does it cost?
Pricing is tailored to your school or district’s size and structure — with no per-message fees, no per-user pricing, and no surprise overages. Request pricing and we’ll prepare a board-ready proposal for your situation. Built-in supporter tools have helped schools offset or even fully cover the cost.
We’re a district with multiple schools. Does that work?
Yes. Post district-wide announcements to every school at once, or let each school run its own feed, calendar, and groups. Families with children at different schools switch between them without re-logging in.
